      Martha Ann's mother was Elizabeth (Murphy) Conner, who was born ca.. 1803 in Georgia.
      Elizabeth died in 1861 in Pike Co., Alabama. After Martha Ann's father (John Conner)
      died in 1840, Elizabeth married Hugh Gilmore, Sr.; and later married Henry
      Golden. Elizabeth's father was William B. Murphy, who died 7/6/1818 in Hancock
      County, Georgia. Martha Ann is shown on the 1840 Pike County, Alabama Census (Page 31,
      with her mother and the rest of the family). Martha Ann married Emmanuel
      Golden on 2/21/1850 in Pike County, Alabama. Martha Ann is shown on the 1850 Pike
      County, Alabama Census, Page 251, Line 18, Household 1585.
      Emanuel Golden was born 9/??/1830 in Georgia and died after 1915 in Denison (Grayson
      Co),TX. Emanuel's father & mother are Henry Golden & Sarah (Burkhalter) Golden.
      (Emanuel & Martha Ann had a son, also named Henry Golden, #604.) Emanuel later
      married Nancy (probably Vance), who was born ca.. 1830 in Alabama. Emanuel and
      Nancy and 9 children are shown on the 1870 Smith County, TX Census. Emmanuel
      and Nancy and 6 children are shown on the 1880 Grayson County, TX Census.
      Emmanuel later married Ann (Maiden Name Unknown). Emmanuel and Ann and their
      family are shown on the 1900 Grayson County, TX Census. At the time of the
      1910 Census, Emmanuel was probably living with his son, Louis.[jctsu75c.ged]
