    • Joseph Elder Biggs was born in Virginia and spent his youth in Clarke
      County, Georgia. Prior to his removal to Georgia his mother had passed
      away and in 1805 his father died.
      Joseph Elder Biggs was a Methodist Minister and reared his family in
      the southwest corner of Talbot County, Georgia. After His marriage to
      Sarah Elizabeth McNeil in Jefferson County, Georgia, they resided for
      a short time in Warren County, Georgia before removing to Talbot
      County, Georgia.
