- The following was taken from the internet website - "Culpepper
Connections"
Nathan served in the 12th Regiment of Georgia Militia during the War
of 1812.
On 7 Apr 1812, he witnessed a deed in Warren Co., GA from
Thomas H. Kendall to Thomas Maddox.
On 4 Mar 1833, in connection with the probate of Nathan's estate,
Sampson Culpepper was named administrator and Jesse Beall and Elijah
Jones were named securities.
Jesse was the husband of Mary P. Culpepper, daughter of Nathan. On 19
Apr 1833, Nathan's estate was appraised at $1,851.37. The appraisers
were Elijah Jones, Seaborn Jones, Henry Harris and John Veasey. Since
Nathan's son Gardner married Caroline Jones, it is probable that
Elijah and Seaborn Jones were Caroline's kin, possibly father or
brother.
On 4 Jun 1833, Sampson R. Culpepper was appointed guardian of
Elizabeth, Nathan, Sterling and Drucilla P. Culpepper, orphans of
Nathan Culpepper (Warren Co. Record Book C, page 5) NOTE: p 279
