    • In a conversation with James Henry Culpepper on March 07, 1999 at his
      residence in Columbus, Georgia regarding Willie Culpepper he stated
      the following; "Willie had fathered 5 children by a Native American
      woman. He attempted to marry the woman but the law of the state at
      that time forbade such a marriage". He stated that all five children
      carried the Culpepper name and all were eventually were college
      educated. As to the name of the five Culpepper's he could not recall.
